So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersen, Goodbye

Survivor Cook Islands has come to a close. The last challenges have been bested, the votes have been tallied and a new sole survivor has been named.

I don't know that there were really any surprises last night. It seemed pretty clear this was coming down to Ozzy or Yul, the only thing hanging in the balance was who would get the money.

Last night's finale also gave us some of the standard bits we've come to expect. The walk down the path to remember the fallen, the pitch and then questions to and from the jury.

All in all, it seemed like this was a cast that pretty much liked one another and just tried to get through to the million dollars.

In the end, Yul is your winner and $1 million dollars richer (let's hope he claims it on his taxes).

We too - Christmas, Clay, Sterling and I - have survived our own time out here on the island. Supposedly we're getting out of here, but that's putting a lot of faith in my man Sterling.

Hope we make it and if things go well, you'll hear from us when we make it to Fiji.

Adios!

I'm guessing the "I did it for my race" speeches at the end by Yul and Ozzy were probably prompted by Mark Burnett to signal to the sponsors who pulled out -- because this was a racial survivor -- that they were big pussies for doing so.

I hope this show was not rigged, I feel Ozzy should have been the winner. He was the star of the show. I hope his nationality and demeanor did not work against him.A very disappointed viewer!

Well, The fat lady sang, or was that Seiku?, and another season is in de book. I don't know about you guys, but for me , the best part was the weekly podcasts. The insights of Sterling, the Christmas laugh, Lance's digs, and Clay's humor were great. Really thought Ozzie, aka Oscar, deserved to win, but Yul ruled, and Ozzie got new wheels. The fire making contest was pitiful, and when the matches ran out, with still no fire. pleeze! Reunion was ok, apparently Parvati saw Ozzies video, voting him as Oscar. Buffsoff to Fiji, see ya....Beserker
